Vamanos!

My friend Simon Forrest has again talked me into another crazy cycling adventure - a ride across southern Spain from Portugal this spring.  South to Grananda and the hills of Andalucia. South to the Sierra Nevadas via Seville & Cordoba and, hopefully south to some sun!  Did Simon not have enough two years ago when we tackled LeJog in relentless wind & rain?  Fortunately, we will be be joined by son Edward who is in between movies, with new bike, fresh legs and large panniers. We will need to fill these to slow him down.

                                                       South to the Sierras

We did a 50 mile training ride on Thursday from Windsor up beyond Marlow into the Chilterns.  It was very cold, very windy but good to be back on the road.  We fly to Faro next Tuesday 26th March and just have the first night booked in a small hotel near the Spanish border at Monte Gordo.  Our final destination is Bedar, in the hills above Almeria. We will be joined by our hard working wives on April 5th where we will recover with friends Sheila & Michael
